Full Time Shelter Advocates:

A Bachelor’s degree in the field of Human Services or related field preferred. Applicants should have a minimum of 2 years experience in advocacy and knowledge of domestic and sexual violence issues. Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Must be able to work a flexible schedule including nights and weekends. Proficient use of computer and Microsoft is a must. Candidates considered are subject to criminal background check. Valid Florida driver’s license, liability insurance meeting minimum state requirements, and a satisfactory driving record.

Full Time Court Advocate:

Bachelor’s Degree in behavioral science, criminal justice, or related field preferred. Applicants should have basic knowledge of the criminal justice system and victimology. Up to two years of related experience working with people in a position involving the provision of victim services, peer counseling, equivalent social skills, and program administration preferred . Must be able to work a flexible schedule. Excellent verbal and written communication skills, interpersonal skills, and organizational skills. Candidates considered are subject to criminal background check. Bilingual Spanish preferred. Valid Florida driver’s license, liability insurance meeting minimum state requirements, and a satisfactory driving record.
